Post Op throat
I had my Esophagectomy on 12/19. They also did a small neck dissection and they had to do that gastro thing… forgot what it was called. I’m doing pretty well and have a great prognosis. My question is has anyone else experienced a raw throat feeling that kind of takes your breath away and makes ya cough quite a bit?

Hi Brandon
I had my esophagectamy on 3/22/24. I had recurring dry cough almost every hour a couple of weeks after surgery for a while- i was told that the cough could be due to the reflux. I went in for a dilation of the constricted esophagus and that seems to be helping a lot. Please check if this is an option for you
Best wishes
