Cost of Orgovyx

I am 61 years old and have been told I need to go on hormone therapy. I was considering trying to convince my urologist to get me on Orgovyx, but he explained (and I found out after doing some research) that it is pretty expensive, and also said that my insurance (I am still working at 62 with insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield) would probably not pay for it. I even went as far as to get some sort of discount card online from the manufacturer (Myovant Sciences/Pfizer) but I can't seem to get a good idea of what my cost would be even if my insurance would pay for it. If there is anyone on Orgovyx, I would like to hear your story about how you are able to cover the cost of Orgovyx.

But they give the covid vaxcine for free because it saves lives I’m sorry when I hear things like this that the insurance won’t cover it just fries me. Good luck. I hope you do well.

Maybe you can try an internet based place like Good RX to see if you can get it cheaper. Your local pharmacist might also be able to get you a cost.

Orgovyx has a patient assistance program depending on income. I would get on their website and check out what they have. Seems like they also have a discounted program if you have commercial insurance.

I was on this program for awhile. Good luck with your decision, although side affects are similar to some of the other options I do think maybe not quite as severe. But that is just my experience not having anything to compare it to

Is it possible to switch to Orgovyx after one dose of Lupron? It sounds like a better alternative.

I think it is, at least I have seen posts from others that have switched. You would definitely need to work that out with your medical team. Good luck with your decision.
