Medullary and papillary thyroid cancer

I have read that this is extremely rare having both cancers at the same time. Has anyone else here dealt with this?

    Having MTC & PTC at the same time sometimes happens, but it is rare to see it in the same lymph node. Treatment is based on the staging of the MTC primarily though.
