Xp11.2 2023
I just had a partial nephrectomy of a 2.2 cm xp11.2 It had gone into the fat but not beyond the fascia that surround the kidney. So the word was "clear margins." In 2023 I'm wondering if anyone knows the following: 1. What doctors by name specialize in this kind of cancer in what locations, and preferably for adults (I'm 77), though it usually shows up, less aggressively, in children. 2. What therapies work well as followup. 3. How frequent should follow up imagery be? Of course I'm frightened. I'm looking for a second opinion on how to proceed, a consult with someone who has experiential knowledge.
