I was diagnosed with stage IV on January 2019. ADT of Lupron and Xtandi (except for causing LAD heart blockage , it worked for 3 years). SBRT to pelvis, 28 days of IMRT to prostate, chemo - docetaxel endured for 6 cycles and the PSA reduction only lasted 1.5 months and then rose significantly . Now completed 2 cycles of Pluvicto and PSA rose 10 points since starting it. I still am thankful, I had a good run, no regrets.

You traveled a tough road, that's for sure. I wish I could be more helpful; perhaps another type of chemo (Jevtana)?

    Hi,

For all of you that are post chemo, have you looked into immunotherapy, would definitely be worth a shot.

The involvement of the lymph nodes itself will cause edema. I know this, having had Stage 3 Hodgkins twice. The lymphatic system 'flows' in a sort of circulatory system. Nodes clogged with cancer, cut out by surgery, or killed via radiation all restrict this flow. Taxanes normally do not yield significant swelling. However, he has so many issues that a single cause may be impossible to pinpoint or treat. Kidney, liver, and heart diseases also cause fluid retention. Diuretics may assist.
