I am NED

I am NED
No Evidence of Disease
Both the radiation and ENT teams were very happy with the PET Scan results.
The new radiation "fellow" was very surprised that I still have my own teeth too. Apparently the majority of Head & Neck Cancer patients have to get a lot of teeth pulled before starting treatment.
They scoped down my nasal passage and into my throat, had me swallow to see how that's working, and generally looked around in there. There is no evidence of tumor in there now 😊
Next up is seeing the ENT in 6 weeks, the radiation Oncologist in 3 months, and the Chemo Dr in April.
It'll be 5 years of follow-up before they will say remission.
I am hoping to add more exercise frequency in the coming months, then add cycling after that to work on getting my cardio fitness back.
The journey continues.

BertChen, Congratulations, best news ever!
Nothing is sweeter to the ear of an H&N patient after treatment than NED (No Evidence of Disease), except maybe after they are done looking at your scans and scoping you and giving you the once over and the twice over another word that has been used is their findings are Unremarkable.
Wishing you nothing but clear scans ahead and continual pronouncements of NED.
I celebrate with you...
Wishing You The Best
Take Care, God Bless
Russ
