Hi

my friend was just diagnosed with Lanitis plastica , given the option to remove stomach or start chemo

looking for info from other folks that have had this situation

    We are both new to this and cancer

    this was such a shock going from heartburn to Lanitis plastica

    my friend is opting for stomach removal but another doctor is suggesting chemo first

    looking for any input , this is very scary and he is set for surgery this Wednesday

    Our oncologist recommended chemo first to shrink a tumor in her stomach. Then she had a Gastrectomy. After a period of recovery she will have more chemo. It's up to your friend and the oncologist to decide what's best.
