CAREGIVER REMINDER

As a caregiver, we know how difficult it is to watch a loved one battle cancer. It is terrifying to watch the person you care about so deeply grow weak, lose their hair, not be able to eat, and in worse times lose all of their independence in the world. Often times, you as the caregiver feel helpless. There is nothing you can do to take away their pain, discomfort, and lack of energy. What you need to realize is that every little thing DOES help.

You must also try to set time to take care of YOURSELF. Your loved one battling cancer want's the best for you. Even Wonder Woman and Superman needed assistance. Seek help from loved ones, friends, colleagues, and you local cancer centers. Reach out to your local non-profits, they may be able to assist.

I was the caregiver for both of my parents. They didn’t feel as useless or embarrassed if it was ne helping vd a stranger. I was able to spend alot of quality time with them in those last few months and looking back on it, I am honored! I just always tried to incorporate things they liked to do, make them feel special and included NOT a burdens.
