Platelets

in Colorectal Cancer #1

Again my platelets are below 70 and delaying for the 3rd time. My doc wanted to do 12 treatments I’ve done 7. I’m not sure what will happen from here?

    I am sorry to hear this. It is so frustrating to have treatment cancelled.

    Maybe they will play with how much chemo you get. I can't remember what they did, when my platelets dropped, just that I couldn't get chemo.

    Try to keep your spirits up. Getting through seven treatments is really good, and I hope the remaining five will not cause too many side effects.

    Thank you for the reply. I’m nit sure what’s going to happen now. So far no side effect at all from treatment other than the whole platelet thing. They started giving me shots for white blood cells but the other there is nothing for. Oh well I’ll keep pushing forward.
