Primary small cell carcinoma of the breast
Hi everyone, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has had, or has known someone with, primary small cell cancer of the breast. What has your experience been so far?
I was diagnosed in March 2023 with both invasive ductal carcinoma and primary small cell cancer of the breast with a neuroendocrine component, with the small cell also found in one lymph node. I have so far received 4 rounds of cisplatin/etoposide, and keytruda ,and had a partial mastectomy with lymph node dissection in July, with pathology showing complete resolution of the small cell cancer. I am currently awaiting radiation and aromatase inhibitors for the ductal carcinoma component. I would love to hear your experience and connect.
