Seeking advice and support (husband - colon/liver cancer)
Hello. My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer this week, spread to the liver. He had a sigmoid colectomy and now has an ostomy. Once he heals from that, we will meet with the oncology team to find out what the plan for attacking the cancer is. We have 2 boys, 21 and 11, who don't know yet that he has cancer. I work full time and provide the insurance. Long story short, I am scared. I'm trying to put on a brave face for him, but I am scared and angry and broken-hearted. I'm looking for advice from fellow caregivers and loved ones. How do you do this????
