Squamous skin cancer diagnosis

Hello all:

I'm new here, and my thanks in advance for any guidance from one or more of you seasoned survivors. I was diagnosed this past Friday with squamous skin cancer, with two legions approx. 3cm apart. One showed up about 4-5 weeks ago and the other 2-3 weeks ago. Neither is bigger than 1cm.

I haven't yet received the pathology report, but am concerned that the second of the two may represent in-transit metastasis (or satellitosis), which could significantly complicate the treatment. I'll of course be reaching out to specialists this week, but an interim question that I can't seem to find an answer to online: have any of you experienced something similar, that is one lesion popping up and then another nearby.

Also, if any of you went through this in the DC area, I'd appreciate your recommendations on specialists!

All the best
