Volunteer drivers

My mother was just diagnosed with lung cancer. She lives in J.E. den beach Florida. I cannot always be there to take her to all her appointments. My girlfriend recommended me contacting this site to see if I can find volunteers to help .
please let me know
how I can get started with finding volunteer in her area
