Update and question (BRAF mutation)

Hello!

My son (stage 4, liver Mets, BRAF) had a meeting with oncologist today. I mainly wanted to ask about a possible liver resection. He basically said it will never happen because he has many (small) tumors on both lobes of the liver and because his mutation (BRAF) which is very aggressive, makes surgery not only dangerous since he wouldn't be able to get chemo while recovering but also because of the BRAF that would grow cluster of cancer somewhere else. These were devasting news to hear even though we were expecting them. My son is only 34 years old. The doctor gave us a referral to the surgeon anyway, I'm guessing he wants us to hear it from him.

Has anybody had any experience with BRAF? Besides the small clusters of tumors throughout his liver, the mutation seems to be the biggest issue.
