July 2022, I had vats surgery upper line of left lung. Totally successful. No lymph node involvement. Very small nodule removed. My recurrent laryngeal nerve was damaged and is not going to regenerate. I have vocal cord paralysis which affects voice and breathing. Is this common? I may have thyroplasty surgery in future to hopefully correct this situation which impacts the quality of my life.
