Survivorship
I'm in survivorship mode. Diagnosed 12/2021 with her2+ with <10% estrogen. Tumor 1.5 cm with lymph node spread. 6 rounds of chemo - taxotere and carboplatin along with target therapy injections of herceptin and perjeta which continued for 1 year. Cancer was apparently gone at time of surgery. Tumor removed and 4 lymph nodes. No cancer left in breast or sentinel nodes. Radiation of 20 rounds. I have recovered well. Am physically active. BUT struggle with neuropathy pain in arms, shoulders and chest and neck especially in evenings and nights. Often get only 2-3 hours of sleep. Neuropathy also in toes and feet and fingers, but that is not painful. EMG scheduled for May. So side effects are hugely impacting my quality of life.
