Cancer with a transplant organ
I'm searching out to see of anyone knows or is a transplant recipient with cancer. My husband (56 years old) had a kidney transplant in 2019 and was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer 4 months later and then in 2020 was diagnosed with stage 4 as it progressed to his lungs. As of Feb 2023 it has progressed to his peritoneum. He has been on an oral chemo for the past 2 1/2 years and now this week they are going to change the chemo pill to something stronger and keeping in mind they have to try and protect his new kidney. I'm just searching for support and any advice or stories people can share with me if they have had similar situation. I feel this struggle is REAL.
