Hello. Wondering if anyone has any experience of or insights..

My Dad has stage 4 Bowel and liver mets. Received good news last week at his first scan meeting since treatment started, oncologist said there is shrinkage of 30% or more (more so in the liver) however, for the last 3 weeks my Dad has had the usual pains back after eating and toilet changes, lower back pains. He has had none of these pains throughout the last 10 cycles of treatment but they have just started with a bang, again.

Baring in mind the scan was taken 3 weeks ago, almost the same time the pains started - Could this be tumour growth? Or do people get pains when tumours shrink and cancer cells die!?

He will finish up his last 2 cycles in this round and have a short break / scan and 2nd round. We asked they bring the scan forward to early April as concerned, just a little confused at the 3 week old scan results but sudden pains and returning of all the old symptoms!

CEA has risen over last few cycles but baring in mind it was a most 25000 to start, at the last cycle was 1400.

Thanks All x
