Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma - Seeking Advice
Hi everyone,
My dad was just diagnosed with large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (2-3 inch tumor outside of his esophagus and widespread liver metastases)
He just finished his first round of chemotherapy at our hospital in South Carolina, but we are trying to get him in to MD Anderson, as it seems like this is the best hospital in the US for treating this rare cancer.
However it may take weeks and he is in a TON of pain. We are struggling to get him to eat, drink, and even keep his eyes open.
My family would love to connect with someone else who has experienced this type of cancer for any possible tips or advice.
Many thanks,
Katie

Hi Katie, if you are on facebook, there’s a group for this cancer - High Grade Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. The admin’s husband died of this horrible cancer and she is a wealth of knowledge. My mom was diagnosed last March (2022). It’s been an awful roller coaster year. Good luck to you and your dad.
