Ribs and coughing

Hi, I’m newly diagnosed metastatic breast cancer and have lesions through my bones (literally head to toe). I had a question about my ribs though which I have lesions there too. Is it supposed to hurt this bad when I cough? I have to use a pillow to brace myself. My breathing isn’t labored or anything it’s just when I cough. Does this go away on its own or do I need to swing by the emergency room? I’ve left messages for my oncologist but it’s the weekend. Just wanted to see if anyone can help.
