I have been 1 year in remission from breast cancer and now likely have rectal cancer post colonoscopy screening. My path results come back this week. I found out I have a mutation of the PTEN gene which can make you more susceptible to getting a variety of cancers. Any tips on handling a second cancer diagnosis so quickly from my 1st cancer diagnosis? I'm still on my hormone therapy to keep me breast cancer free and feel like this will be an even tougher battle given that I just had cancer lol. Gastroenterologist seems optimistic about it though. I am trying to keep a brave face on, but this seems like a unfunny joke that the universe is playing on me . 😂
