Possible Mets
Hello,
Has anyone had the experience where the radiologist has said mets on a MRI result and your CEN is lower than 3 and you CTDNA is 0. Right now, Doctor wants MRI's every two months and if CTDNA comes back positive, mri's every month. I have been diagnosed with stage 3 C on 12/2019. Had a sigmoid ectomey with Capeox Chemo for six months thereafter. Now I am in the 5-year watch game. The lesions on my liver are 9mm, 6mm and 5mm that they are watching. They tried to biopsy but could not visualize on CT so aborted biopsy. I just want to know other people's experiences. Thanks.

Hi! My husband was initially thought to have 3 Mets on his liver, that were ultimately discovered to be benign hemangiomas. They didn’t light up on the PET scan but were described as possible Mets on all the CT scans. If we hadn’t listened to a second opinion, he would probably have had liver surgery and the “wrong” chemo regimen (with the addition of a drug that turned out to be unnecessary). So if you have a chance to dig deeper and consult a different doctor/radiologist, I would encourage you to do so! I am hoping this will be your case. Wishing you all the best,
carolina
