Late effects of treatment
i Was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2020 and had a radical hysterectomy, radiation and chemo after finding it spread to my pelvic lymph nodes. I was strong, smiling, at peace during treatment. Sure, it sucked but all other life stressors faded a way and everyone was so nice, so helpful. I’m two years in remission (yay!) but I have had an incredible amount of health issues since. Appendectomy, Graves’ disease, hashimotos disease, diverticulosis, a fib, osteopenia, menopause, broken ankle, and a thyroidectomy scheduled next month. The side effects of some of these diagnoses are so challenging. I feel alone in my peer group. Can anyone relate?
