What now
My daddy was diagnosed on Feb 7 2022, has had several complications blood clots, stomach and gi tract bleeds that have left him in icu 3 times, after 5- 21 day rounds of chemo basically 4 months in the hospital and another month stay for several infections at the same time. He has been home for a little over a month now with weekly dr appointments to check him and every week blood tests look better and better hair is growing back and he is doing more and more things. 😀 he is 76 years old they let him go two weeks between appointments this time and has a pet scan next Friday and dr the next Friday to discuss the plan and anymore treatments he may need..its been a long hard road and he has proven to be a huge fighter..I am very concerned about reoccurring and feel a little lost I want to be hopeful but I dont want to have false hope and they put him back on blood thinners and that scares me too..my daddy has always been my rock and I dont want to loose him to this cruel disease ...I guess I'm just looking for support and an idea of what happens now

There are several different kinds of non-hodgkins lymphoma, each of which are treated differently. From your description I would guess that your Dad has Dispersed Large B-Cell lymphoma (DLBCL)which can be very aggressive but is curable. There are several people on this forum who I am sure can help you with advice. I suggest getting the specifics of his lymphoma and posting that so the appropriate people can reply. I understand that this world of lymphoma is a strange one when you first begin to understand it. Sorry you are going thru this. Wishing your Dad the best.
