Second opinions PET scan

in Breast Cancer #1

Hi all

I'm new here. Diagnosed at first with Stage 2 IDC breast cancer. Then had PET scan which highlighted a 1.8 cm spot between ribs, in the tissue, near the lung. Sending me for a biopsy. Doc says if it is cancer, then I will be stage 4. Was going to have surgery for oncoplastic lumpectomy next week but that now postponed or not happening. Instead they would put me in Letrozole. Any comments? I'm wondering whether to get a second opinion. I was actually getting used to the idea of surgery but now thus is really worrying me.

    I'm new here too. I have Stage 2 IDC breast cancer and waiting on results that may change my diagnosis and treatment. I think we are always entitled to a second opinion about treatment. This stuff is really scary and none of it is easy. It made me feel less alone to come to this forum and read the encouraging remarks of other members. I pray you have good news.
