Has anyone had an issue of being admitted to the hospital and the hospital refusing to administered the Keytruda as an inpatient? Have you ever heard of Keytruda only be administered as an outpatient? I have a friend who has been in the hospital for over 3 weeks. He's not well enough to be released but needs the Keytruda infusion. The hospital is saying they do Keytruda infusions as an inpatient, only patient??? Is this true? WHy is this? How can we fight this?

If so, did you fight it and win?

Yes, they did the same thing when my husband was admitted. It has something to do with the insurance not paying for it as an inpatient procedure, is how is was explained to us. They gave him his Chemo but not the Keytruda.
