BRCA gene mutation?
I'm waiting for genetic testing results to find out if I have brca gene mutation before my breast surgery. Has anyone decided to do mastectomy rather than lumpectomy based on BRCA results. I'm interested to hear about your experience and your thoughts.
Thank you.

I found out I had BRCA2 gene and got a double mastectomy. I only had cancer in my right breast , but didn’t want to take any chances . I am going to do anything I can to try to prevent it from coming back . I also had triple negative so that influenced me too .
