How is everyone holding up?
The world seems a scary place, I try and remember that most of human history has been scary but it’s not a very reassuring thought.
More importantly though I always come back to how hard it is for everyone on these boards. I miss when it was easier to navigate but anyway if anyone feels like commenting how they are doing (good bad or ugly) I’d like to hear it, and if not I wish everyone the best anyway.

The USA has gone to crap in every aspect! But since you asked, ha here goes:
With cancer, no contrast for scans, low blood draw tubes so might have to put off bloodwork for a week(s), anesthesia is limited so surgeries are being extended until last minute or not at all, certain size needles are non existent, lidicaine is not be rx'd unless you have a darn darn good reason (the port infusion sight), insurance companies scaling back on what they will pay for ect ect. My hospital has cut back services such as valet for patients, the bus only runs every 1 1/2hrs instead of every 30 min's so people have to wait wait wait to get to the parking deck, cafeteria has slimmed down the menu ect ect. It's like a third world country in certain parts of the U.S. and spreading out. Really shows our dependence on other countries when we use to be self sufficient in so many sectors that are so important for health and well being. Sad Sad!
I went to lab corp about 3 months ago for bloodwork and all they had was a cotton ball and told me to just hold it on my arm until I reached the red light. WTH!!!!

We are hit here with covid. University hospital and our closes hospital had to cancel non necessary surgeries. The university hospital had the big issue that so many nurses and doctors were sick or in quarantine that they had problems to run it.
Otherwise, there is always the Ukraine. I am glad that Sweden and Finland are joining Nato. Might sound strange to you but some part of Germany was part of Sowjetunion and Putin seems crazy enough.
My uncles are acting up cause my fathers brother wants the land my dad owned. He had the chance more than 30 years ago. And my moms uncle expects gold somewhere. Otherwise you cant invest here...
I am missing my dad a lot at the moment. Graduated, he was not hugging me. Birthday is coming soon, he wont hug me. I am afraid I am forgetting his voice.
Good news: my mom had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Some small polyps got removed and she has an inflammation but otherwise everything is good. Mom was really happy bit hated the prep work.
I graduated. I am a MD now and still need paperwork so I can apply for jobs.
Last week, we celebrated the only birthday we will celebrate this year. He is six now, acting up a little but we are so grateful to have him. His name is Charly
Hopefully his picture will share some up here.
