I survived cardiac arrest 6 years ago I was flatlined for 4 min. Only to find out i got stage 4 throat cancer a year ago. I have to have my voice box removed after radiation and kemo failed. Now my only way of breathing is through a hole in my neck. I watch my 4 month old grandson and use a true tone voice aid. I'm currently waiting for my ultra voice. It's been a very rough road cancer will mentally beat on you as well as physically. I'm 54 years old and never thought I would be fighting this monster. You know I hear there is a lot of people that went through this but I'm the only one I think I ever seen with this it seems.
