Support Group?
I was diagnosed at the beginning of April and had a mastectomy at the end of April. There was a small amount of cancer found in one lymph node. Due to the size of my tumor, my age and the micro metastasis in my lymph node, both chemo and radiation are recommended. I will most likely start chemo next week. It seems like so much has happened in the past 2 months, and I haven't fully processed it all yet. I have lots of great friends and family, but I'm also thinking of joining a support group. Has anyone had experience with a support group and found it helpful? Any recommendations for groups virtual or in person in the NYC area?
