I didn't finish typing and it just popped up.
Um...I was diagnosed a week ago....so I had my first appt the other day to talk about path forward.
I LOVED all the Drs....except the Social Worker I had at the end...we just did not click.....
To me it is very important to have that "click" of a relationship especially with emotional health right now.
Has anyone ever switched or asked to switch a "team member"?

Hi Missy2,
My mom had to switch to a different "team member" once. She explained to the person in charge it wasn't a fit and that she didn't feel comfortable with this person helping her, and that's okay. Social workers should understand that, as we aren't going to always click with every client/ I say we, but I'm not licensed yet, I will be in December. We learn though in classes that its okay and that we should do our best to help them find the person who best fits the patient and their needs and to make them feel as comfortable as possible and let them know that you completely understand. Everything will work out! You are in my prayers!
