Hi all,

Has anyone ever been diagnosed with Raynaud’s after chemotherapy treatments that was related to the chemotherapy and not another underlying condition? My oncologist is referring me to a rheumatologist, but he does not think it is related to the chemotherapy, but possibly physiological condition. I researched that it can be a side effect with men who had testicular cancer and received bleomycin and vinblastine, which were two of my drugs in my regimen for Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (ABVD). If anyone has any insight, just out of curiosity as I know my specialist will be the one to diagnose, please let me know. Thank you all and hope you’re well!

    Hi TNgirl,

Sorry if my reply is not quite to your point. I have had Raynaud's all my life, and was not even aware of the fact that it could actually be secondary to chemotherapy or related to malignant hemopathies - which it apparently can be. My first, empirical response to your post was, if you have lost weight due to the cancer or treatment, you may find that your Raynaud's is worse - that is what I have experienced over the decades anyhow. Depending on your location or work environment, you may not have had any cause to actually notice that you had it, but it may have been there all along. Having been born and raised in Canada, I couldn't miss it...

I hope I have been able to reassure you with "benign" explanations for Raynaud's. It can be bothersome and even painful, but I hope investigations show it is nothing more than that in your case. Do let us know what the doctor says.

    Kind regards,
