Iron / platelets infusion

Has anyone been getting platelets IV for low iron? I found out at my last chemo TX that they are going to start giving me 3 weekly Iron treatments to boost my low platelets. I am already getting a separate injection for low WBCs. That causes me much anticipated bone pain. Anything to look forward to once I start getting the Iron infusion?
