Is Radiation enough for proper treatment?
My dad was diagnosed with Tumor in his Colon in 2018. For which he had surgery and then was advised 12 cycles of chemotherapy which he completed. Then an year later he had this mass growing somewhere near bowel loops again for which he got biospy which came out negative. Then in 2022, he got PET-CT Scan done and found that he have some deposit in pelvic cavity measuring 2.3 x 3.1 cm (SUVmax - 7.78) and then there is also a lytic lesion (SUVmax - 9.7) with soft tissue component in his sacrum.
He consulted with doctor again and they suggested radiotherapy for cure. Then my dad went for second opinion and they told him to get Chemo along with radiation. So my dad went with former option since they have been his main treatment hospital. Currently my dad is in his week 2 of radiotherapy and I have yet to meet with his doctor. Though my question is this sarcoma? And can RT alone cure this?
