20 Years Cancer Free

Hello CSN Family,

Today is certainly a Huge Milestone! For anyone just starting this journey I just wanted to give hope and encouragement.

For me I had my surgery March 20,2002. Diagnosed Stage 3C, 10 out of 14 positive lymph nodes. Followed up with Chemotherapy & Radiation.

At the time I was 40 years old with a 10 year old son. Today I am 60 and my young son is now a 30 year old school teacher. Last fall he got married and it was super special for me to be apart of that day.

Please keep the faith that it is treatable and beatable.

Definitely needed to hear this today! Needed hope. Getting scared and only half way thru chemo and step 1. Radiation next w chemo, step 2.

Also I'm 41 w a young boy...so I love to hear 20 years and the happy moments your getting to live out.... simply put...Thank You for sharing!

And prayers you get many more wonderful years and moments!

thats is awesome. How did you manage the tiredness and fatigue with chemotherapy? This is my 3rd round and it’s the worse it has been.

This is great to hear! Thank you for sharing. I am 40 years old. Have had two major partial colectomies to remove a 10mm mixed tumor I. My colon. I was in the hospital for 23 days due to complications and 5 days after I was discharged, my beautiful little boy was born. I just had my first round of chemo. 3 days on, 28 days off. It isn’t easy but knowing that you have been in remission for 20 years heightens my hope. Thank you so much. ❤️
