Breast cancer related anemia

I have mets to my bones. I've suddenly got anemia from the cancer (not iron deficiency) I am having trouble breathing when walking only a short distance (20 ft) Dr's say the only way to feel better is to make the cancer better. I just can't believe this. Can I get a blood transfusion? Drugs? When I walk, I can't breathe and have chest pain. Heart is ok per primary Dr. Please, any help needed.
