Low grade astrocytoma starting chemo/radiation
Hi hoping for some guidance and advice on maybe what to expect. I had very bad pressure headaches in fall 2020 mri revealed I had a small mass blocking spinal fluid going to the brain had to do surgery and felt fine recovery time was about 2 months. Had a follow up mri end of January and found the mass/tumor had grown and is in a very difficult spot to remove with surgery so I am scheduled to start oral chemotherapy and radiation for 6-8 weeks starting in March I am very anxious and nervous about the unknown and I have a lot of questions if anyone that has been through this and could help me out I appreciate it.
1.what to except side effects of radiation can I still work? I have a fairly physical hvac job
2.do you gain weight/lose weight during treatment
3.is there a better time of day to have radiation?
thank you very much
