Question about Folfiri and diarrhea

Hi! My ex started with Folfiri and Avastin on Friday. Starting yesterday he’s been having diarrhea, which we knew might be a side effect. He is trying to control it with imodium. Does the diarrhea usually resolve between treatments, or is this going to go on for the next few months? I’d appreciate any experience you could share!

I had a severe case of diarrhea with one treatment of folfiri. The only thing that would stop it is lomotil. Ask your doctor if you can try that instead…..you need a prescription to use it. Good luck.

Call his oncologist and ask for a stronger med. Have the pharmacy info ready so that they can call it in.

And can I say good for you for being concerned about your ex! Good luck with the diarrhea - I am on Folfox and have the other problem! Lol
