NED means "no evidence of disease," and is an acronym (as you can see). It's a good outcome when you are doing a follow-up with oncologist. If you go into the "breast cancer" discussion group, they have a list of acronyms at the top of the page. There you go!

3 years is amazing I love those initials NED- it stands for No Evidence of Disease, we long for those words every CT scan or PET scan God bless everyone.

I had that same question last year when I joined the site. It means No Evidence of Disease on a scan, My scans have never expressed it quite that way but rather as no enlarged lymph nodes or no inflamed lymph nodes or no sign of metastases. All great phrases which I interpret as NED.
