How to turn off my e-mail notifications

Now I'm getting e-mail notifications every time someone posts. Does anyone know how to turn this off. Surely don't want messages going through my e-mail account.

I just figured it out - now you're going to ask me how, aren't you. Let me see if I can remember. But yes, you can turn off notifications.

    Here you go:

Go to your tiny profile picture, top right.

    Then Edit Profile

Then on the right it says 'Notification Preferences'.

Not too sure now, as I seem to have more in my inbox, yet I turned it off.

Edit: Looks like I forgot to click on the little blue box that says 'Save General Preferences'.

And I see I only have 1 hour to edit my posts. I like the edit button.

It has been one day, and I must admit, I think I am liking the notifications.

True, I did not at first like them, but at the end of the day - or even tomorrow, the busy threads will slow down and we won't be seeing as many notifications coming into our inboxes. The forum doesn't move as fast as it used to, back in the old days.

I closed all the notifications, so I will have to depend on only manually viewing the posts. I will see how that works out, but it sure strikes me as less efficient. Or maybe you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Basically I liked the old layout better. Some of the new features are welcome.

You are right, the site isn't as busy, so the only notifications that are turned on for me are the ones that I've started and someone has replied to or a post that I've replied on another thread. Mine isn't turned on for every notification as I'll check the posts when logging on to see if there is one that I'm able to help with.
