Promised update on kyphoplasty

I'm back from my 2 procedures this week at Sloan Kettering. First was the kidney stent, which immediately relieved my very severe hip pain that I had no idea was kidney- related. The relief is amazing.
Kyphoplasty was the next day. Painless procedure done under general anesthesia. I don't know what pain relief it provided as the stent pain relief was so massive. Basically, inflate a balloon in my vertebrae to restore its normal height and then fill with bone cement. Not much to say. It was a pretty innocuous procedure. I'm in no pain from the procedure itself. Just some sore muscles. And being careful in my activity for a few weeks.
All in all, a very long week, but so far with good outcome.
