Recovery
6 days post partial robotic nephrectomy and I'm feeling a lot better. Those first few days were brutal! No one warns you about the shoulder pain from the gas!! It was worse than the incision pain. Doc said everything went well and the mass was well contained; I guess that's good news! Waiting on the pathology report has been pretty brutal, just trying to focus on one thing at a time although my little boys have lots of questions.

Gas and the catheter were not fun
Beyond these two that were high on the "this sucks" list was the wait for a BM. It was a few days after returning home and many different remedies that I finally had one. From that point on, recovery seemed to go smoothly.
Question for you: Do you have access to an online portal for your medical records? I'd have to believe every hospital has this option for patients. My pathology report was posted about 48 hours from my surgery, so I could review it prior to a conversation with my doctor.
Sounds like you are doing everything right with recovery. Keep walking and listen to your body to determine activity levels.
Wishing you only the best!

Walking helps a lot with all
Walking helps a lot with all the pain, but it helps quitexabit with the shoulder pain specifically.

Thanks Stub!! Haha the BM wait time actually wasn't bad for me at all ? But the shoulder pain... literally felt like someone was ripping my arms off! Excruciating pain.
I do have access to my chart through an app, and every other result (blood, CT etc) has been there quickly. Pathology still isn't in ? Which scares me a little more. The doc said up to 2 weeks, while everyone in the hospital said a few days.0 -
