Elevated CEA with clean scans
Comments
-
Well, for a year my CEA was steadily increasing, from 1.8 to 15 in June. Lung inflammation was what my onc suspected (I have bad adult onset asthma) and last week my CEA came in below 5. Finally. Try not to give it too much credence. CEA is not the gold standard diagnostic for mets, as there are reasons for higher numbers that do not involve cancer. I pray the isolated PET scan result was just noise in the machine. Good luck.
