Is it possible to have weight loss as the only symptom of cancer, or the only symptom of advanced ca
Other than weight loss, there aren't any observable symptoms. This person has an appetite and good amount of energy. Capable of doing daily chores and walking through large grocery super centers.

Cachexia
Yes, I had dramatic weight loss, down to 64 pounds, but that was far from my only symptom. My fatigue level was so bad some days I could barely walk ( but I had to, walking 2 large dogs)
With mine, I was literally starving to death... Lots of pain as well. And did not know it but I also had pneumonia and collapsed right middle lung.
Stage III recurrent Head & Neck cancer.
Emergency room admitted me, dehydration ...Oliguria.. Also, the starvation had dropped my Blood Volume ( hypovolemic) and I was going into shock.
Drove myself... Yeah. Tue next day, they made me consent to Gastrostomy surgery for my G tube ( feeding tube).
Now, over 4 years later I am 71 pounds... I am permanently 100% dependent on my feeding pump. In June I was admitted for bilateral bacterial pneumonia. Double pneumonia. Likely because I aspirate directly into my airway. No way to fix it. I have an adjustable hospital bed in my bedroom, to keep my head elevated at 30* to help with as pirating, but it happens during the day as well.
Right now I am doing a breathing treatment with my nebulizer. I have Bronchiectasis which is irreversible damage. The double pneumonia from June isn't clear yet.If
Here's a biggy though --- I was born with a RARE, GenetIc Immunodeficiency. A Primary Immunodeficiency. It leaves me open to infections of all types, and cancers.
This is a hard life, immunodeficient with Stage III Cancer. Head & neck cancer is a devil.
