And as Crystal said she, and I, and others on here have had multiple cancers but keep up the good fight you will prevail.
We are all here and not giving up and I know you have dealt with cancer more than once.

Thank you both for your kind words of support. Crystal it is upsetting but there is not a lot I can do but enjoy each day of this journey. Im looking at it this way, if it's a met then it's only one and after 5 months thats encouraging and I can have local therapy to treat it.. If it's a new primary (and that's where the money is) i should be able to have surgery to remove it giving me another chance. 

Wbcgaruss I read your post about your clear scans, well done and Crystal you are the toughest person I know of, you also stay strong.

Its all happening............

Its all happening.................at last. Monday week I finally have the biopsy on the spot in my right upper lung. Then a few days later I'm goig in for planning by my oncology team. We wont know the result of the biopsy until the planning commences. Even if i was suitable for surgery I've chosen SABR treatment as there is less morbidity and this treatment has comparable results with surgery. Also I can get on with my life sooner.

Ill give an update when I know the biopsy result.

It’s official I have metastasis. The biopsy showed that the spot growing in my lung is the same as my throat cancer diagnosis. So today I met with my oncologist. We are going to treat it with 5 treatments of SABR over two weeks . It’s usually taken care of over 3 treatments but because the cancer is close to my bronchial tubes ( I think that’s what he called them) he’s being more gentle with the treatment.

I was also seen by the radiation therapists and they fitted me to a special been bag so to keep me in the same position. I almost forgot now I have 5 more tattoos to go with the three from my prostate cancer treatment.😁 I finish treatment on Christmas Eve so that’s a bonus. Wishing you guys all the best.

Update

I finished my 5 SBRT treatments on Christmas Eve and was given until the end of March to have another pet/ct scan. All good my oncologist said there was a total metabolic response to the treatments, the hpv 16 nodule in my right lung had been ablated. I don’t have to see him or have another pet/ct scan for 6 months. All this was three months ago when I saw my oncologist. So far I’m feeling great no ill effects from the SBRT.

Today my ENT specialist scoped my throat and all’s good and I will see him again in December after my scans in September. All the best.

That's fantastic news! I haven't logged in much lately and had missed your last couple of posts. So happy you are doing well and I thank you for sharing your story. I too have some lung nodules that they are watching but they keep assuring me it's just a nodule and if it needs to be zapped they will hit it with radiation quick and have basically taken my fear away.

Windmill and Remington I just want to weigh in here and congratulate you both on getting to the point and situation where you are. Windmill you must feel pretty good after just getting scoped and getting the all-clear and you should these are all hard-fought and stressful victories. Hopefully, your scans in the fall will echo the same story-all clear.

Remington, I too have a small lung nodule and a small nodule on the liver they are doing the same thing with keeping watch and comparison at each scanning interval. This does not seem uncommon as others on here have reported the same situation. Hopefully, they will stay small and not do a doggone thing to create any problems.
