Difference
In some countries, hematology is part of oncology. Hematology is the oncology or disese of fluid tumors (leukemia), oncologist treat solid tumors if it is divided. It all depends on the country where you come from. The country I do my studies in, hematology is part of internal medicine and not oncology. In Germany, hematology is part of oncology. My dads oncologist treated someone with ITP. I dont know how it is in the US.
