Recurrent Ovarian Cancer

Good evening, I am new to CSN and my mother just started chemo again for a reoccurrence of her ovarian ca. I am looking for suggestions on how to best help her through her therapy since this time she seems to be having a very difficult time. 2 years ago she had Carbo/Taxil combination and she did very well throughout the treatments. She is 1 week into the Carbo/Doxil treatment this time and she really is miserable. She is 83, in good spirits, she is a fighter and she is my hero and the love of my life. I was wondering if you can help give me some advise on how to make this easier for her. I read on various comments to stick to the Dos and Don'ts of Carbo/Doxil, can someone please tell me what those are?  Also, she is having severe cramping after she eats and it literally brings her to her knees in pain. What can we do to help that (right now we are using Tylenol for pain). Any suggestions/recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Keeping everyone in prayer.

Susy, I am sorry no one has

Susy, I am sorry no one has responded to your post.  The Ovarian board can get quiet sometimes, but there are a lot of active groups out there.  I am a visitor from the Uterine board, have to check in on our gyn sisters!, and while I have not had Doxil I have read all the stories.  Again, I hope you found one of the active Ovarian sites.  It just gets quite here sometimes.  Prayers for your warrior mom and all your family.
