Devastated news today

Hello all,
I went to see my oncologist today, I had a new pet scan done and I went for the results and to see if I have any new options. I was told today that I have terminal cancer and that uncureable, I am just so blown away from this news. I should of expected it because the treatments were not working no matter what was tried, it just kept spreading. I don't know how to tell my family about it and my girlfriend.

Don’t give up
Even if the word "cure" isn't currently in your future, never give up. Treatment can keep the cancer in control and allow you years of memories with family. Keep going, keep trying. Lean on your loved ones and allow them to surround you with love. You have a long and difficult journey ahead of you. You can't do it alone. Let your faith and your family be your crutch.

Keep your head high
I second Mary Kat
"it ain't over until its over"
as exhausted and defetend you feel right now, don't let the knowledge of text books scare you. As I once read on a cancer forum once "disease does not read the textbooks". The doctor's know only so much about the human body and diseases including cancer. No matter how advanced we might seem, there is contant discoveries and changes happening in the medical field.
Perhaps seek a second opinion. Clinical trails save alot of lives even almost hopeless ones. Never give up. keep on fighting. We keep on fighting.
