Difficulty eating and hydrating

I am a 76 y/o newly diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I will have chemo, then surgery, but haven't started treatment yet (still need to get a PET scan and a port). My tumor (and whatever has spread) presses on (crowds) everything in my abdomen. I feel full almost all the time. I eat very little and have great difficulty drinking sufficient water. I was using 30 gram protein Ensure, but suddenly do not want anything sweet (same problem with Gatorade). I have water with added electrolytes, but just can't drink much. As a result, I am getting weaker, I have more balance issues, and have fallen a couple of times. I would love to hear any suggestions about how to get more nutrition and hydration. Thanks.

Might be fluid is building up

Might be fluid is building up in your belly. Have an ultrasound. The procedure of removing belly fluid is called paracentesis. Will make you feel better.

I drink a lot of fruit or

I drink a lot of fruit or vegetable smoothies.  I also eat more soups and have smaller meals. Does your doctor's office have a registered dietician that can give you any suggestions?

Hi, I have the same problem of feeling so full, that I cant take even one more sip of water.

Ive been using pedialyte frezzer pops. I dont get as full on them . I keep it in a glass so when it
melts its in tge glass and I just drink it.
    Hope this helps.
