Post Radiation Swelling Question
Hey guys..I know taste and swelling are things that take a spell after radiation ... I have heard all sorts of timelines re: taste (as normal, everyone is different). How long did it take some of y'all for the throat selling to go down? I know I am only 10 days post rads, and am not being impatient..although I am..LOL. Just trying to get an idea of what I might expect with this, time-wise.
Thank you.

Swelling
It took about 1 month for my husband's swelling to go down post treatment. He had ssc of the piriform sinus T1N2bM0 stage 4 and 50 radiation treatments with concurrent chemo. Hang in there it takes time for your body to recover. My husband was told a high protein diet, in his case ensure, would help him recover from treatment much faster.

BeagleDad,
I don't recall swelling as being a huge, ongoing issue. It seems like it faded reasonably quickly. (maybe 4-6 weeks).
My sense of taste took about 3 months to start coming back.
The good news is that time will take care of you - and soon most of it will just be memories.
I wish you the best!
